The treated material is named Calmag because it contains calcium, aluminium and magnesium silicates, carbonates, sulphates and oxides.
We have undertaken extensive research and testing. Calmag can be used as an aggregate or as a cement replacement in the production of construction products such as tiles or pavers.
The Environment Agency has confirmed that Calmag has achieved end of waste status. They accept that our process has been shown to denature and destroy all asbestos in the material and that cement or aggregate mixes including Calmag will meet the relevant industry standards.
